The History of Establecimiento La Gioconda
Delighting Palates Since 1918
La Gioconda was founded in 1918 at the corner of Del Barco Centenera and Asamblea streets, in the heart of Parque Chacabuco, Buenos Aires. For half a century, it was renowned for its tireless production of thousands of candies, chocolates, and sweet treats.
It later relocated to San Rafael, in the province of Mendoza, where it became established as Establecimiento La Gioconda. In 2016, it was acquired by Grupo Goldfarb with the goal of rediscovering the colors and flavors that nature gives to each fruit, bringing back the natural taste of food.

In 2022, delighted to return to crafting traditional preserves using carefully selected, high-quality ingredients while preserving the homemade taste that food should have, we relaunched an iconic product beloved in Argentine homes: La Gioconda canned fruit preserves.
Since then, discerning palates have continued to inspire us to do more, and we strive to delight them with every recipe, every flavor, and every product we create—today and always.
Our 70,000 m² La Gioconda production facility is located in San Rafael, Mendoza Province, Argentina’s leading peach-growing region. The site is home to one of the country’s largest peach canning plants, spanning 10,000 m², with more than 345 employees and the capacity to process over 14 million kilograms of peaches per year.
